FAIR WEAR
FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION
In addition to being part of the Amfori BSCI platform, we are also regularly audited by the Fair Wear Foundation an independent organization focused on improving labor conditions in the global garment industry. Fair Wear audits assess key areas such as fair wages, safe working environments, reasonable working hours, and social dialogue. Being audited by Fair Wear supports us in maintaining high social standards and helps us continuously improve the well being of the people behind our products.
The Fair Wear Foundation defines a fair living wage as a wage that meets the basic needs of workers and their families and allows for some discretionary spending. These basic needs include housing (with basic amenities such as electricity), nutrition, clothing, health, education, drinking water, childcare, transport and savings.
At Orimpex, we believe that a fair living wage is a human right. As a garment manufacturer at the most labour intensive stage of the supply chain, we are ready to do our part! In this context, we have started a fair living wage project in cooperation with a brand. Our aim in the project is to provide a better standard of living for our employees and to offer our customers a fair and ethical supply chain
